Free crochet pattern by Carey Huffman who designs all sorts of fun crochet (and knitted!) amigurumi toys.
I wanted to share the latest softie pattern I’ve been using, called Baddies. I first saw this pattern when it was featured as part of the July crochet along on the crochet subreddit. I loved how it looked, so I decided to give it a go.
The monster noticeably bigger than its Caron Simply Soft robot counterpart, because apparently Loops & Threads Impeccable works up larger. Using an F-3.75MM hook and worsted yarn these came out huge. And a lot of stuffing is needed.
The pattern itself is written clearly and I absolutely love the use of colorful bobble stitches! The embroidered facial features makes it a good gift choice for small children and animals.
It can sometimes be hard to find an easy pattern that looks great. Baddies does a great job at both! If you’re looking for a fun and free crochet pattern, you might just want to try it out!
