I’m always on the hunt for new yarn to try for softies. Today I wanted to share a neat yarn I found recently that I like to use. It’s called Impeccable by Loops & Threads.
Have you ever tried Impeccable? It is so soft! Its softness is more akin to baby yarns than worsted yarns in that respect.
Loops & Threads Impeccable is a 100% acrylic, worsted weight yarn. I personally love its large array of colors. It also comes in larger skeins called Impeccable Big!. These skeins are 858 yards each.
I believe this would be a great choice for beginners as well:
- Simple, easy to see and work with yarn
- Lots of colors to choose from: choose light colored yarns, this makes it easy to see stitches clearly
- Economical: great when you need tons of colors for amigurumi and the like
This is Michaels craft store brand yarn, by the way. So either you have to get it from locally or order online, now that their online store is up and running. Can be a hassle, I know.
For better or worse, this yarn works up bigger than some worsted yarns. I’m currently crocheting both monster and robot variations of the Baddies pattern by Carey Huffman (love that pattern!). Monster made with Impeccable, robot with Caron Simply Soft. I’ve now finished both bodies, and the monster is already almost two and a half inches taller than the robot. Same 3.75MM hook was used on both, obviously. I thought the Simply Soft one would be larger, but to my surprise Impeccable takes the cake on this one.
If you haven’t tried it yet, you might want to check it out! You can find Impeccable at Michaels, in store or online.
